Dala Township is located on the southern bank of Yangon river across from downtown Yangon, Myanmar. According to history, Dalla was southern most fortress of Burma (Now Myanmar). Dalla, former village, was included in Yangon municipal area since 1974 so that become a township of Yangon.
Area is 28.3 km. The township, made up of 23 wards, 23 village tracts , 45 villages is bounded by the Yangon river in the north and east, the Twante Canal in the west, and Twanty Township in the south. When we want to visit to Twanty, Kawk Hmuu, KunChanKone, Daedaye, Phyarpon and Kyaiklatt , we must go through this township. Eventually, Though Dala Township is bank of Yangon river across from downtown Yangon, we can easily go by ferry boats. Township has unused yards.
