Automobile titan Henry Ford’s former Georgia estate lists for $4.49M

Automobile pioneer Henry Ford’s onetime winter home, which now comes freshly renovated, has hit the market for $4.49 million. Located just outside Savannah, Georgia, along the Ogeechee River in the city of Richmond Hill, the colonial-style property was constructed in 1870.

It originally served as the cold-weather residence of the Michigan-born Ford Motor Company founder and his wife, Clara, for roughly 10 years in the early 1900s.

And now, it’s seeking its next steward. The listing is held by Kacey Howard and Danielle Hopper of Seabolt Real Estate/Luxury Portfolio International.

The current owners completed a thorough renovation of the estate in March — maintaining the four-bedroom’s historic charm while adding contemporary features such as a new kitchen, “premium finished, sophisticated marble baths, designer lighting and much more,” Hopper told The Post.

The property is located in the private Ford Field & River Club, a 1,800-acre gated community containing 400 residences and build-ready homesites.

Amenities there include bridle trails, a deep-water marina, six lakes, pickleball courts and the Pete Dye Golf Course, which is visible from the rear of Cherry Hill House.
