The construction of Yangon elevated expressway project will affect more than 1,000 buildings, according to a land acquisition and resettlement plan for the project. The land acquisition will involve more than 1000 private-owned buildings, 31 government-owned buildings and 79 vendor shops, according to the survey, which were conducted in five townships namely, Hlaing Tharyar, Hlaing, Mayangone, Yankin and South Okkalapa townships.
