A compensation award for some of the land acquisition during the construction of Nay Pyi Taw was held at the Mingalar hall of the Naypyidaw City Development Committee on March 6.
Naypyidaw has paid compensation to 42 farmers for the remaining 120.38 acres of land in Zabuthiri, Ottarathiri and Pobbathiri townships, according to Naypyidaw City Development Committee.
Naypyidaw Council Chairman and Mayor Dr.Myo Aung said that compensation has been paid for 1256.236 acres of land, farm and forest land of 429 farmers in total under the new government (2016-2020). The land compensation may not be enough for a lifetime, but would also help the family in the other direction and would like farmers to understand that the rise of Naypyidaw will bring greater benefits to the local people.
And then, Naypyidaw Council Chairman and Mayor Dr.Myo Aung, a member of Naypyidaw Council U Aye Maung Sein, Deputy Mayor U Ye Min Oo, Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Kyaw Min Hlaing, Amyotha Hluttaw Representative U Kyaw Myint Oo have given compensation of K 130,488 million for the area of 120.38 acres.
