Myanmar Motion Picture Museum opened on February 8

Myanmar Motion Picture Museum was opened on February 8, according to Yangon Region Government. Union Minister for Information Dr.Pe Myint delivered the keynote speech and Yangon Region Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein expressed pleasure and honour for opening the museum.

The Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein said “2020 has marked the centenary of Myanma movie industry, and that it is my pleasure and honour to have successfully opened the Myanmar Motion Picture Museum to systematically display the documents about Myanma movie industry. Yangon Region Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein added that there is a museum of film history in Yangon and to enhance the need to aware of it among the public in the 100th anniversary of the Myanmar movie industry.

“We have many interesting things to show. People don’t know to visit the museum because the heritage is not able to be displayed, once the museum is opened, it is necessary to keep the museum alive, and the museum needs to be remembered as a memorial thing among the people".
