Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence, who married art gallerist Cooke Maroney earlier this month in Newport, RI, has been trying to offload an Upper East Side penthouse she bought in 2016, Gimme Shelter has learned.
Yes, JLaw owns a flashy condo at celeb-packed 443 Greenwich St., the former bookbinding factory in Tribeca.
But the “Hunger Games” star is content to keep playing landlord, sources say, and rent that unit out.
Meanwhile, she also owns a secret (until now!) 4,073-square-foot penthouse at the Laurel, a condo on the Upper East Side.
That penthouse, located at 400 E. 67th St., is quietly on the market for $14.25 million — down from its July asking price of $15.45 million.
That’s less than the $15.6 million she paid for it three years ago via an LLC called Monster 40, property records show.
Lawrence’s penthouse contains 3,000 square feet of outdoor space. A key-lock elevator opens to the three-bedroom, 4½-bathroom duplex, which has 12-foot ceilings.
Its two floors of outdoor space hold an outdoor kitchen, a built-in ping-pong table and several entertaining areas. Inside, there’s a great room with an open dining/living room space divided by a two-sided limestone gas fireplace.
There’s also a chef’s kitchen and a hallway that separates the public and private spaces. Building amenities include a paparazzi-proof garage, a doorman, a concierge, a two-story gym with a lap pool, a sauna, a steam room, a bike room and private storage.
The listing broker is Pamela D’Arc, of Compass.
