Cristiano Ronaldo has shown the lengths he will go to for close friends after he 'took a £1.25million hit' selling his Portuguese mansion to team-mate Pepe.
The Juventus superstar has a wealth of properties to his name but, according to the Sun, has decided to sell his hillside retreat in his homeland to his international team-mate.
Hidden away by vast woodland and situated in Geres, the mansion - which includes a landing pad for a helicopter - was purchased for close to £3.5m seven years ago by the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.
The Geres property boasts an area of around 800 square meters and includes a stunning view of the picturesque Cavado river.
According to Correio da Manha, the deal between Ronaldo and Pepe was said to have been agreed while the national team were closing in on lifting the inaugural UEFA Nations League title.
Pepe, who played alongside Ronaldo at Real Madrid, is now back in his home country having joined Porto after leaving Turkish side Besiktas.
Geres has proved a popular destination for star names emerging from Portugal with former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho and notable football agent Mino Raiola owning property in the region.
Ronaldo takes property seriously away from the pitch and so he will no doubt be pleased to see a home he helped design go to a close friend and international team-mate.
The 34-year-old is currently easing his way back into action as Juventus continue to get minutes in the tank during pre-season.
Pressure will once again fall on the shoulders of Ronaldo this season as Juventus look to end their barren run in Europe's top competition, stretching back to 1996 since they won the Champions League.
Changes are expected between now and the end of the transfer window to fine tune the squad and Sportsmail revealed exclusively on Wednesday that Ronaldo has given his approval for Romelu Lukaku to join from Manchester United.
