Government Invites EOI For Yangon’s Elevated Expressway
The Expression of Interest (EOI) from local and international firms has been invited for the elevated four-lane road in Yangon to implement through the Public Private Partnership, according to the Ministry of Construction.
The 47.5-km elevated four-lane road will connect downtown Yangon, Yangon Port, Yangon International Airport, Mingalardon Industrial Park and the Yangon-Mandalay expressway. On May 18, the Ministry of Construction invited expressions of interest (EOI) from local or international companies “interested in designing, engineering, financing, constructing, operating and maintaining” the toll road through a long-term public-private partnership concession agreement.
The selection of PPP firms will be done through an international competitive tender expected to commence later this year.
The interested firms must submit company summary, bank statements for three years, ISO certification, his interest in the project, background information of the similar projects the firm executed, and the present operations (if the applicant is international corporation). The interested investors must send EOI by June 29, 2018.
