Luxury island Spitbank Fort was built in 1860 to protect the UK from invasion a mile out at sea from Portsmouth.
The breathtaking construction served as a naval base only accessed by boat and is flanked by two forts - No Man's Land Fort and Horsesands Fort.
Those interested can put their hands on the historic fortress for £2.5million.
The future home offers 360-degree views of the Solent and Isle of Wight.
It also comes with a sauna, leisure facilities - including its own cinema.
To retain its historic value, all of the rooms have retained some of its Victorian features.
Listed on the property site Zoopla, estate agents Knight Frank said: "Standing on the deck of the fort, one is immediately impressed by the complete tranquillity that can only be experienced on a private island.
Its sister forts were constructed in 1860 to protect the British navy from French warships.
The three forts were originally ordered by then-Prime Minister Henry Temple.
The fortress was used in World War I and then in World War II to defend English shores from Nazi attack.
The giant walls are 15ft tall and were used as temporary army barracks.
After the wars ended, the piece of history was transformed into a museum.
