This is the world's first gold-plated hotel and here's how much it will cost you per night

Travelling outside the country seems like a far-fetched dream right now. But by the time you make up your mind to resume your ‘wanderlust’ plans and pack your bags for your next vacation, you’ll have a new place to add to your bucket list that will compel you to see it with your own eyes. According to a report in Oddity Central, people travelling to Vietnam’s capital city Hanoi, will soon get to enjoy the luxury of the 6-star Hanoi Golden Lake hotel. This luxurious property is plated with 24K gold (both exterior and interior), making this the world’s first gold-plated hotel. The construction for this luxury property began in 2009 and is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

According to Vietnam Insider, the property that has now become one of the prime locations of the city, is built by the Hoa Binh group and located on the bank of the Giang Vo Lake, in the downtown of Hanoi’s Ba Dinh district.

This 25-storey hotel has 5,000 square meters of gilded ceramic on the outside and equipped with amenities like 24-carat gilded furniture, a rooftop infinity pool and even golden bathroom fittings.

Even the lobby, accessories and decorations are said to be covered in 24K gold. The hotel will be managed by US-based Wyndham Hotel Group.

Well, luxury comes at a price, especially when it’s covered in gold. According to Vietnam Insider, the price per night at the Hanoi Golden Lake hotel will start from $250 (Rs. 19,000 approx). Interestingly, one can also rent out a number of apartments in the hotel at the starting price of about $6500 (almost Rs. 5 lakh) per square meter.
