The couple are preparing to close on a four-bedroom Miami Beach condo asking $15.5 million Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are in contract to buy a multimillion-dollar condo in Miami Beach.
The rapper and reality TV star are preparing to close on a four-bedroom apartment at Faena House, a luxurious oceanfront tower designed by Pritzker-winning architects Foster+Partners. The unit was asking $15.5 million, though the final sale price won’t be known until it closes in January.
The Wests’ soon-to-be beach home spans more than 4,700 square feet of open, contemporary interior space with an additional wraparound balcony, according to the listing with Oren Alexander of Douglas Elliman, who declined to comment for this story.
The condo opens into a sprawling great room that’s been subtly subdivided into living and dining rooms, all of which are wrapped in floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the ocean, images of the home show.
Prolific South Florida interior designer Fanny Haim put together the pared-down interiors, which feature modern lighting, pale hardwood floors and dark wood accents.
There’s also a glossy, white-lacquer kitchen by Italian furniture company Molteni, according to the listing.
Mr. West, 41, who launched a clothing line in 2015, and Ms. Kardashian, 38, who owns D-A-S-H clothing boutiques with her sisters, will likely benefit from an expanded walk-in closet in the master bedroom.
As the New York Post first reported, the couple is buying the unit from an entity linked to Alex Blavatnik, brother to the building’s co-developer and billionaire Len Blavatnik. The seller has owned the unit since 2015 and put the home up for sale in October, according to property records.
The luxury 17-story apartment building still holds the title for the most expensive condo ever sold in Miami-Dade County. Hedge fund executive and trophy home hoarder Ken Griffin reportedly set the record in 2015, when he purchased the penthouse at Faena House for $60 million.
