Special sales event of landfill land development project in Sittwe was simultaneously hosted by iMyanmarHouse.com in U Uttama Hall, Sittwe city and Sedona Hotel, Yangon between 9 am to 5 pm on 6th & 7th April 2019.
The project is a joint venture development between Rakhine state government and a Korean company BXT International Co., Ltd. It has got the approval from Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC) in March 2016. Its ground is tough due to its international standard landfill operation technology and retaining wall.
Now, the landfill operation is completed. The sales event was held after Rakhine State Agriculture, Livestock, Forestry, and Mining Minister U Kyaw Lwin announced the approval of selling the land plots. The Rakhine State Government will issue grant for the land plots.
The main advantages of the project are possibility to become a major seaport exporting fishery products, availability of luxury living in waterfront housing, possibility of international investment businesses increase, possibility of business opportunity appearances for its residents and investors as it appears as a modern city in Rakhine state, 30 minutes drive after Ponnagyun industrial zone and Satyokya bridge are open, socio economic benefits, and possibility to become a logistics area for Kaladan Multi-Modal Transit Transport Project (KMTTP) and MPA jetty.
The project is expected to become the city centre after three years as it is located next to Sittwe downtown.
“This Sittwe landfill project will be in a very important role for Rakhine state development. It will be a special economic zone of Rakhine because international standard hotels, restaurants, condominiums, apartment complex, and commercial economic zone are likely to appear.” said U Nay Min Thu, Managing Director of iMyanmarHouse.com.
