The Yangon City Development Committee will construct an international standard purified drinking water plant with the help of the Japanese government’s 4.176 yen at Twante canal (5.5) Nautical mile near Phayarkyisu village, Paitsal village group Twante township.
The government has purchased 18,778 acres of paddy land and is implementing the construction of the plant which will purify the water in Twante canal. It will provide 3.3 million gallons of water a day to the local people in the Dala and Twante townships, according to reports.
The project is to be implemented from 2020 up to December 2022 and water pipelines linking process for the plant is now being undertaken, which will provide 3.3 million gallons of water and 0.066 million liters of drinking water to Dala water supplying system.
The Rapid Sand Filtration System will be used as a water purification technique and will be used as a quick sand cleaning solution. The sediment from water purification will be used in the land filling of the garbage disposal system of the Yangon City Development Committee.
