Underpass construction project is underway, according to the Engineering Department (Roads and Bridges) of the Yangon City Development Committee (ROAD).
The tunnel is 30 meters long, 3 meters wide, 3 meters high. The excavation work has begun on the underground side of the University of Education through the Pyay Road near Sidepyo Yay bus stop, Kamaryut Township, Yangon.
The roadblock work is being carried out on the side of the University of Education on January 25, and is a one-year project.
When the underpass construction is finished, security systems for the people travelling through the tunnel, shops, air conditioning and electricity posts will be systematically put in place, according to reports.
