Rental housing project for retired government employees, which is being built in the fiscal year 2018-19 budget, is 100% completed. The housing unit has been developed by Department of Urban and Housing Development under the Ministry of Construction in Dekkhina Thiri township, Nay Pyi Daw.
It is intended to be for low-wage retired civil staff, who cannot afford to buy their own housing. 5-storey five buildings with 12 bedrooms each, 300 rooms of the rental housing unit have been completed. One room is 450 square feet wide.
Department of Urban and Housing Development has submitted rules and regulations and rental rates for retired civil servant to the office of the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar according to reports.
