He's enjoyed a decidedly busy summer, after hitting the road with his Rolling Stones bandmates for their sold-out No Filter tour, which has taken them to an array of cities across Europe.
And while Keith Richards is reaping the financial benefits of his lucrative roadshow, he's taken a hit in the pocket elsewhere, as he's sold his luxury New York City penthouse for $9.995million – $2million less than his asking price.
The cut-price sale is even more of a blow as it's less than the $10.5million the 74-year-old Gimme Shelter rocker and his wife Patti Hansen, 62, paid for the Greenwich Village abode back in 2014.
Three years after purchasing the Fifth Avenue apartment, the Kent native – whose most recent concert with his bandmates was in Warsaw last week – put it back on the market with an ambitious asking price of $11.995million.
And the lucky buyer will get to live like quite the rock star, as the open-plan property offers four bedrooms, four bathrooms and breathtaking views of the bustling Big Apple.
Each of the apartment's generously sized bedrooms – two on the lower floor and two above – boasts a modern en suite bathroom, while the owners can entertain guests in a 47-foot-long living/dining room.
The master suite has two walk-in closets, completely outfitted to showcase fashionable garments, while three private terraces across the home give residents and their guests views of the city and Washington Square Park.
The home, which was completely renovated in 2011, features a number of individual luxury touches, including an air purification system and a grand staircase with a 'leather-wrapped bronze handrail'.
And, of course, given that the duplex was last owned by one of rock 'n' roll's most enduring figures, some of those touches reflect the star, with 'You're Never too Young to Rock and Roll' written on of the bedroom's walls.
Earlier this month, Keith and his wife were spotted enjoying a river cruise with his bandmate Ronnie Wood, 71, and his 40-year-old wife Sally Humphreys ahead of the Prague leg of their tour.
