The applicants for the housing project in Sittwe, Rakhine State has reached more than 400 applications, according to the Department of Urban and Housing Development.
The applicants include 260 governmental employees, 21 private company staffs, 80 pensioners and 70 low-income people. The 72 affordable apartments are allocated as 28 units for governmental employees with over 10 years service, 22 units for pensioners, 11 units for private company staffs and the remaining 11 units for the low-income public, according to a release from the Department of Urban and Housing Development.
This housing project is built by the State Government’s Fund K 1.5 billion. The apartments are priced between K 15 million and K 22 million. The Government provides three types of payment plan: cash down payment plan, bank savings payment plan, loans payment plan, according to the statement.
The low-cost apartments built in Shwepyithar Ward; Sittwe City will be allocated by drawing lots for the applicants. Among the applicants, those who have bank savings at CHDB Bank and other banks will be selected as priority.
