The incredible £1billion sky city that's 700ft tall and took just 19 days to build

A 57-storey skyscraper was constructed in just nineteen days using a special construction technique.

Changsha is the capital city of China’s central Hunan province dating back to the Zhou dynasty.

One of its biggest attractions is the rare collection of excavated Western Han dynasty tombs, known as the Mawangdui.

The city also had a very famous resident in Mao Zedong, who studied and lived here before joining the Chinese Communist Party in the 1920s. If that isn't impressive enough then the city also now boasts a marvel of modern construction.

Located at Number 3 Broad Road is the imposing 57-storey tower known as J57 Mini Sky City.

The structure of J57 is made entirely of steel and has no concrete core, as well as being earthquake proof.

As it was 90 percent prefabricated in the factory, it was possible to erect three floors per day.

Prefabrication is the modern-day trick for making a building in a blink of an eye. This construction approach is about assembling structural components at a manufacturing yard, transporting them to the site, and adding it to the puzzle.

Costing in the region of £1billion to build, the 687 foot skyscraper has 4,000 offices and 800 apartments.

It also features a host of recreational areas to allow residents to relax and socialise.
