'My neighbour's son keeps kicking ball over – but I finally taught him a lesson'

 A man has been left fuming after his neighbour's son kept kicking his football against the walls of his home, so he decided to take action.

The man, in his 30s and wishing to remain anonymous, recently took to Reddit to vent his frustrations.

He detailed how he resides on the third floor of a flat complex, and the family living below him has a young son who "loves to kick his football around all day".

The furious man alleges that it "shakes my entire flat" as the boy reportedly bounces his ball against the building's side and his home's walls. "This makes it impossible for me to sleep," the neighbour lamented.

He elaborated: "He loves to kick his football around ALL DAY. He kicks it against the side of the building, against the inside walls of his flat, slams it into the ceiling (my floor), and throws it onto the roof."

So, when the little boy was next playing and his ball ended up on the neighbour's balcony, the irritated adult decided to keep the football for himself.

"I just haven't given it back," he confessed.

He added: "It's been two days, and he has been knocking on my door continuously for those two days. He knocked (beat) on my door for two hours straight today, and at least once every hour after that. The thing is, I can sleep through someone knocking on my door, I can't sleep through my apartment shaking."

The man highlighted he was "finally" able to get a full eight hours of sleep recently and doesn't want to lose that luxury - returning the ball could mean a return to disrupted nights. "I really don't want that to go away, am I the a*****e? ," he queried Reddit users after his post went viral, sparking thousands of comments and reactions.

"As a parent, I support this," one user chimed in. "It will teach the mum a lesson as she'll be the one who has to buy her kids a new ball," they continued.

Another person proposed deflating the ball as a life lesson, remarking: "I would have taken that ball over to their house rang the bell and stabbed the ball without breaking eye contact with the mum. Then, walk away without saying a word."
