A 5,400-acre Texas ranch with views of Dallas in the distance has hit the market for an undisclosed amount.
Located in Ferris, Texas, about 20-minutes south of Dallas, the property includes a gated homestead with a 23,000-square-foot stone mansion, according to Icon Global, which listed it this week.
The megamansion was “built to include every luxury amenities and to entertain,” the listing said. “The home is wrapped in quintessential screen porch verandas to the rear, taking in incredible and unobstructed views over the lake and across the ranch.”

The Dallas skyline is visible in the distance, listing photos show. Completed in 2000 and known as Tall Oaks, the residence has an impressive, double-height entrance hall and manicured grounds with shady walking paths and sculptures. It’s contained within a 32-acre plot on the ranch, which also includes an exotic game reserve and a helipad.
The ranch was the home of the late W. Ray Wallace—the CEO of Trinity Industries, a railcar products and services provider—who died in 2016. Records indicate he purchased several properties to create the ranch, and Mansion Global was unable to determine how much he paid in total. Texas is a non-disclosure state, meaning property prices are not publicly recorded.
