This house is going up for auction for just £10,000 – but you’ll need to be prepared to do some serious DIY before you move in.
The three-bedroom terrace house in Hartlepool appears to have been damaged by a fire, with every room in the house burnt to a crisp.
The lounge is in the worst state, with a blackened ceiling and walls, and a door hanging off the walls.
The other rooms are also charred and full of debris and rubbish, with the windows boarded up.
And, while they say the kitchen is the heart of the home, this one is in need of some TLC. The tiles are coated in soot, the roof is caving in, there’s rubbish on the floor and the sink is missing.

However, at just £10,000, this home is a bargain compared to £250,000 – which is roughly the average price of a home in the UK.
So if you’re prepared to get your hands dirty and transform the place, it could be a pretty savvy investment.

The Auction House listing says that the area is in ‘an area of high rental demand’ and as such ‘would command a significant yield, with scope to add value through remedial works.’

It’s in a good location too, just one mile away from the train station. Ref: This three bedroom house could be yours for £10,000 — but there’s a catch (metro)
