The residence that Neil Armstrong called home during the time he made his historic expedition to the moon has listed for $550,000, according to a release from the listing brokerage.
Located in El Lago, Texas, Armstrong, who passed away in 2012 at age 82, had lived in the mid-century home with his family between 1964 and 1971.
Built in 1964, Armstrong and fellow astronaut Ed White, who died during the Apollo I mission in 1967, bought three lots of land to split between them. They built their houses, and lived next to each other for those years.
Situated on half an acre, the architecture includes the original rock fireplace, staircase railing and the nostalgic pink pool decking, the listing notes.
Occupying roughly 3,000 square feet, features include a sunken family room with vaulted ceilings and large windows overlooking the backyard pool.

The kitchen, which has since been updated with new cabinetry, delivers quartz counters with a breakfast bar. Made up of four bedrooms and three baths, the property features a study, a built-in “secretary” desk in the primary bedroom and a three-car garage.
There’s also a separate three-bay garage workshop to work on restorations.
Located at 1003 Woodland Drive, the neighborhood also holds a community pool, a splash pad and tennis courts.
