Yangon Mayor U Maung Maung Soe said that illegal residents are being removed as people are not allowed to live in hazardous buildings in Yangon. "People are secretly living in those buildings. We ordered them to be removed as soon as possible. This is not in accordance with the law,” said the mayor. A mild magnitude 4.1 earthquake jolted the country’s commercial city Yangon that has damaged some of the buildings. The earthquake’s epicentre was 13 kilometres from Yangon Region’s Taikkyi Township at a depth of about 10 kilometres.
