It has been reported that the singer and Fenty Beauty founder has been house hunting on Long Island’s East and has settled on renting this place for the time being. Perhaps she’s wanting to try before she buys.
Set on two grassy acres that form a private peninsula, the digs also include its own board, a dock suitable for two or three watercraft, paddleboards, and kayaks.
And if you thought the price tag of this rental is a bit steep, it seems it’s a pretty reasonable deal for a home in this area.
“While this rental may seem incredibly expensive, given the current situation and market, this actually appears to be a reasonable price since luxury Hamptons properties are being scooped up at record prices due to insatiable demand,” Dolly Lenz, a real estate agent with the eponymous firm in New York City, told realtor.com.
While the Hamptons is always a summer holiday hot spot for those in the US, with COVID-19 putting everyone’s overseas holidays on hold for now, the Hamptons summer rental rush could be intensified.
While Rihanna would likely normally be jet setting or super yachting to all corners of the globe during summer, she – and many other US celebs – will have to just settle on the Hamptons for now.
A pretty good consolation prize if you ask us. Fine restaurants, coastal vibes, beautiful beaches and spectacular views. While it might not be sunset over the Mediterranean in the Greek Islands, it’s surely nothing to complain about.
And if Rihanna likes what she sees after her summer in the Hamptons, turns out for a mere $16m ($US10.99m) she can stay forever as the house is up for sale.
Apparently, the renter-to-buyer Hamptons rush has happened before, which suggests it very well may happen again.
