The project will be implemented on 555 acres of land and will comprise 314 acres of land in section 1 and 241 acres in section 2, and a project advisory board will be hired.
The advisory board will conduct a development plan and detailed design. They include the land, road and pedestrian traffic, drainage system, sewerage, water supply, building designs, landscape of land design and electrical communication systems.
It was announced that the project will cost $ 1.6 million and will be completed in 30 months, 18 months for part 1 and 12 months for part 2.
The company wishing to provide consulting services must be an officially registered consulting firm in Myanmar or Korea. The Ministry of Construction, Department of Urban and Housing Development, and LH (Korean state-owned corporation) signed the agreement on Jeju Island, Korea on June 16, 2017.
Implementation plans include: industrial area, Research and Development Center; Training School and housing and commercial buildings, said Deputy Minister of Construction U Kyaw Lin.
The first phase will begin in 2019 and end in 2022. The second phase will begin in 2020 and end in 2023. The project is jointly run by the Korean state-owned LH Corporation and the Ministry of Construction.
