Yangon Region Government has allowed illegal residents to live in at the K 30 million worth 300 homes for the second time in a joint venture with Pyoe Mae Eain Social Development Association, according to Pyoe Mae Eain Social Development Association.
A total of 300 housing units with 150 homes constructed on 11 acres of land at No.130 ward in Dagon Myothit (East) and 147 homes at 146 ward, Hlawka Road, Dagon Myothit (South) township were allowed to live in in the second time, according to reports.
The homes have been transferred since March 9. Currently, the homes that built in Dagon Myothit were allowed to live in, Daw Van Li Zar Aung, the founder of Pyoe Mae Eain Social Development Association, said.
After more than 260 homes were handed over to the public in 19 ward, Shwepyithar township, more than 300 homes have now been handed over.
The low-cost housing units will continue to be built at Hlaing Thar Yar, Dagon Seikkan, North Okkalapa and Shwe Pauk Kan townships, according to the association.
The Kyat 30 million housing project was provided by the Yangon Region Government, which was undertaken by Pyoe Mae Eain Civil Society Organization. The project is aimed at low income people and the homeless.
