Yangon Mayor U Maung Maung Soe and officials opened a ribbon-cutting ceremony of Dala purified drinking water factory with the cost of $ 49275 (K 75,500,000) on March 10, according to the state-owned newspaper.
UNHABITAT, a joint venture between the Yangon City Development Committee and the Sida (Donors from Sweden), started the construction of the purified water drinking factory at Hmaw Sat ward, Dala township on November 22, 2019 and completed on March 10, 2020, according to the newspaper.
The water from Yangon water supply station will be held with two tanks: one is capable of holding 3000 gallons and another will hold 5000 gallons. It can purify water to produce 1,600 liters of water per hour and can be run for five hours. If you buy purified water at the factory, the 20 liters of water bottle will cost K 200 and you get it delivered, it will cost K 300 and no more than 350 kyat.
