Yangon Region Tourism Committee has approved the construction of the hotel and guest accommodation, according to its meeting (1/2020) on 21 February.
Yangon Region Tourism Committee meeting was attended by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein, Minister of Kayin Ethnic Affairs Daw Naw Pan Thinzar Myo, Secretary for State and Regional Government U Myo Aung Htay and Departmental officials, according to Yangon Region Government.
At the meeting, the Chairman of the Yangon Regional Tourism Committee has approved eight hotel licenses, a total of 750 rooms; seven hotel permits; one guest house permit, 117 tourism licenses (domestic and international).
The total investment capital for the hotel and guest accommodation amounted to K (261, 28.5) million and US $ (38.865) million and it will create job opportunities for 801 local employees.
