Air-spring carriages will start plying Mandalay-Myitkyina route on early March, according to the state-owned newspaper.
The new air-spring coaches are Mandalay-Myitkyina No. 31 (Up) and No.32 (Down) and they will stop at seven stations, namely, Shwebo, Kantbalu, Kawlin, Nabar, Moenyin, Hopin and Moekaung, according to reports.
The train departing from Mandalay at 1 pm will arrive at Myitkyina at 7 a.m. and the down train departing from Myitkyina at 1 pm will arrive at Mandalay at 7:45 a.m., according to reports.
The prices vary from each station along the Mandalay-Myitkyina railway and the price will cost K 10000 and K 20000 for ordinary class.
