Only over 640 out of more than 12,000 applicants have submitted full legal facts to buy the Yangon Region government’s plots of land, said U Than, joint-secretary of the Yangon City Development Committee.
The buyer, the price, the budget, and the type of business were evaluated, he said.
Yangon Region government has started selling 500 plots of land for the first time.
In addition, the regional government announced on February 7 that more plots of land will be sold in nine townships in Yangon Region, only to be named by the applicant. The government said it was not allowed to change its name within three years.
More than 100 plots of land for sale are in Dagon Myothit (East & South), Dagon Myothit (Seikkan), Della, Shwepyitha, North Okkalapa, Hlaing Tharyar, Seikkyi Khanaungto and Kyauktan Townships.
