Hong Kong-based Union Resources & Engineering Co.,Ltd and Ayeyarwaddy Development Co.,Ltd have signed MoU between them to explore the possible ways for generating electricity in Pathein industrial project.
The odd ways that electricity can be generated include fuel consumption ways such as Biomass, Clean Coal, LNG, LPG, HFO and the renewable energy sources ( Solar and Wind).
In order to find out the details more fully, they have signed MoU and have considered which alternative way could be used to generate electricity.
It may be able to generate enough electricity from about 17% to 20% of electricity energy consumption of households and industrial enterprises.
To cover its consumption, it may need a total of 1300 MW electricity for the development of Ayeyarwaddy Region. 800 MW is for households and industrial enterprises and 500 MW is for industries in Pathein industrial project.
The exploration, which is based on natural environment, social economic and national interest, will be released transparently to Union Government, Regional Government, respective Hluttaws (parliament) and local people.
