Yangon City Development Committee plans to relocate the Central Fish Bazaar in Kyimyindine township, Yangon city Mayor U Maung Maung Soe said during the regular press release with media on 9 December.
At night, truck cars are running continuously along the Strand Road near the bazaar and there are inconveniences and therefore we plan to relocate it, said Yangon city Mayor U Maung Maung Soe.
The bazaar should be relocated because it is so close to homes and its smell of fish. This is why we are planning to relocate it, according to Yangon city Mayor U Maung Maung Soe. Yangon City Development Committee said that it is looking for a proper place for relocation plan. It must be a proper location for vessels .
It must also contain an ice generator according to YCDC. YCDC area covers 33 townships of Yangon and there are (A,B,C,D) levels- 184 bazaars and they are being administered by Yangon City Development Committee.
