The registrations and funds for more than 15000 posts to install road and street signboards in Mandalay were received within two days according to the facebook page of Mandalay city Mayor U Ye Lwin.
After the Mayor has uploaded the exclusive news on his page, registrations are submitted and funds are paid for more than 15000 posts within two days. The Mayor also praised the staff of the urban planning unit for all their hard work without taking their off-days ( weekends).
The date of the appointment has been given to the remaining donors. Although the aim is to number streets starting from Chan Mya Tharsi, signboards can be put up in the whole city due to abundant donors, he said.
Mayor U Ye Lwin's special thanks also go to the businessman U Sai of UV printing services not only making sure of the good quality of printed signboards but offering a 40% discount for the signs.
People are cordially invited for those who want to advertise their services on the signboards whose advertising fees will be available free of charge for two years, only a soft copy has to be given for the design. If those who want to set up signs with their own plan, each sign will cost K60,000 including a post, a road direction sign, an advertisement, a digging fee. And the city residents will be able to donate two posts per corner to the Mandalay City Development Committee (MCDC).
