Unregistered fibre lines which have been installed without permission in Yangon Region will be removed, according to the Engineering Department (Roads and Bridges) of the Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC). We have made an inspection of unregistered fibre cables with registered companies.
When we found unregistered lines, we cut them down, said U Lin Khaing, the head of the Engineering Department (Roads and Bridges) of the Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC). We are carrying out a ground inspection of unregistered fibre lines. We have wrapped the inspection up along the Pyay Road, Ahlone street and in downtown townships. The inspection of fibre cables installations has been divided into six parts according to districts and the tender winner will continue to inspect them, said the municipal body .
In the whole Yangon Region, an invition of EOI has been made and 36 companies have applied for the project, said the Engineering Department (Roads and Bridges) of the Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC). The YCDC has already made an official announcement about the removing of unregistered fibre lines in the state-owned newspapers. It also pans to shift rooftop internet towers installations later according to the YCDC.
