Singer reportedly spent more than $4.8M to acquire two homes on either side of his Suffolk estate Ed Sheeran reportedly dropped millions to get rid of pests around his home and business in England.
Not the four-legged, eight-legged or other multi-legged kinds of pests — but the two-legged kind that mouth off when they’re not happy with what’s going on around your property. Must be nice to be Ed Sheeran.
The singer’s neighbors, according to the Sun, were none too pleased with the noise generated at Sheeran’s Suffolk property. After hearing of their concerns, his solution was to buy them out.
He reportedly spent more than $4.8 million to acquire the two homes on either side of his $24 million estate. He also recently acquired a flat above his bar in the Notting Hill district of London. “Ed’s had neighbors grumbling about noise before so when he got a chance to buy up the two houses next to his London home, he jumped at the chance,” a source told the Sun.
“Ed has not only made a wise investment but is limiting the chance of people grumbling about loud music or parties,” added the source. “He also decided to buy the flat above his restaurant because that could have been a massive sticking point for the business going forward.”
According to the Sun, Sheeran owns 22 properties that cost him about $58.5 million.
Must be nice to be Ed Sheeran.But it must be equally nice to be his neighbors. If we were living next door to the “I Don’t Care” hitmaker, we’d be calling the police every hour on the hour with one made-up grievance after another.
At his Suffolk residence, neighbors have complained about signs that Sheeran put up for a pub he built on the site, and for his using a manmade wildlife pond as a pool.
