The Housing Project of More Than 1400 Acres Is Being Implemented in Hlegu Township
The Yangon Regional Government issues that ECO Green City Housing Project of more than 1400 acres is being implemented in Hlegu Township. Moreover, the infrastructure for the people with low income will also be included.
That project is the new government’s biggest and first new city housing project. The squatters lived in the project area have been removed by the 2000 police and labor forces.
“That housing project can support the development of the country and it is an important project for the development of Yangon Region. Therefore, Yangon Regional Government will closely supervise the project,” U Phyo Min Thein, Chief Minister of Yangon Region said.
ECO Green City Housing Project is cooperated by the Ministry of Construction and Alliance Stars Group and it is located near 3 miles 1 furlong of Yangon-Mandalay Highway.
In this project, 100 housings with more than 3000 rooms will be built with the aim to provide the rental housings, low-cost and medium-cost housings for the people with low-income. It is known that the project will be implemented with two stages. Firstly, low-cost housings, medium-cost housings, high-rise housings, market and restaurants, administrative offices and highway bus stops will be implelmented in the new city project.
And then, shopping mall, park and playground will be built in the new city project. In addition, international schools, private schools, hospitals and hotels will be included in the project. The project construction period will take about three years and the sales of the project will be managed by the respective departments.
