... A nightmare tenant who had not paid rent for two years left the property full of rubbish - including mounds of faeces and 'bottles of urine' left inside.

The former tenant left the home in Tylorstown, the Rhondda Valley in Wales in a 'disgusting' state after being evicted earlier this week.

Landlords claim that the tenant 'refused to pay rent' for a period of more than two years, adding that they left the house so filthy that professional cleaners were going to have to fumigate the property along with giving it a thorough clean.

The tenant began renting the property in January 2020 and after paying their rent in a timely fashion for a few months they became less considerate.

The tenant and her family refused to pay rent and did not let the landlords enter to check the home after they became worried about hygiene, broken windows, doors and walls, WalesOnline reports.

The rear garden was also brimming with black rubbish bags. Food and other waste was also left streaming around inside the property - including piles of mud of animal poo left inside with 'bottles of urine'.

One of the property's landlords said it was the 'most disgusting thing' he had ever seen or smelled in his life.

He said there was 'mud and faeces all around the house', a window had been smashed and 'there's been an egg on the front two windows for two years'.

He said the tenant's children threw eggs and the tenant 'never bothered to clean'. The landlord added that there were 'cans in the bedroom that are filled with pee'.

They said that their family member who owned home was nearly at retirement age but had to take another job to pay the mortgage, as the tenant had not been paying rent.

He said the tenants were due to pay £380 for several months, which was then upped to £420 per month. After not paying the landlord said the tenant owed about £11,000.

The landlord said it was frustratingly difficult to evict the tenant, her adult daughter and her other.

The landlords eventually got a court order but had to resort to bailiffs before the tenant finally left the house.
