Jeff Bezos And Lauren Sanchez Rented Out One Of Venice's Majestic Islands
According to the Daily Mail, Venice's San Giorgio Maggiore island is set to play a part in Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's upcoming $7 million wedding nuptials.
A source who spoke with the outlet claimed that the couple had rented out the prestigious island for six days, June 24 to June 29, the rumored timeline for the festivities.
On these days, the island will be "off-limits to visitors" within Venice. The same insider claimed that Bezos's superyacht Koru will be stationed off the coast of the island, and that a private tender service has been secured to carry guests to and fro from the vessel during the celebration.
Sixty of Venice's water taxis and 400 gondolas located on the island have also been reserved, which will presumably serve as part of the logistics arrangements.

Other Details About The Billionaire's Upcoming Nuptials Aside from the previously mentioned arrangements, it appears that Bezos also plans to use the Scuola Grande della Misericordia as part of the wedding celebrations.
The building, one of the largest and most magnificent in Venice's historic center, has reportedly been booked by the Amazon founder from June 26 to June 28.
As for accommodations, it's believed the couple's guests have reserved most of the top hotels in the city. This includes The Aman, where rooms reportedly cost over $2,700 per night, and Hotel Cipriani, which, though slightly less expensive, still comes in at a steep $2,000 per night.
Meanwhile, Bezos and Sanchez have also arranged for their guests to be treated to an array of sumptuous pastries during the celebration.
For this, they have enlisted the services of local bakery Rosa Salva Venetia, known for offering treats such as tiramisu, cream-filled flaky pastries, and fritelle, a traditional Italian fried delicacy.
(And it looks like all of this opulence is thanks to Sanchez herself, as her hubby-to-be revealed in a 2023 Vogue interview that he wouldn't dare get involved with wedding planning)
