A 750-acre Kentucky ranch, almost as big as New York City’s bucolic Central Park, is ready to change hands. With a price tag of $19.5 million, the property, which hit the market last week, is the most expensive available to buy in the Bluegrass State, listing records show. Dubbed Lakewood Valley, the property is on the outskirts of Whitesville, some 20 miles from the Indiana border in the north of the state. Its 750 acres are home to three single-family homes, a 60-acre lake, an airplane hangar and runway, two tennis courts, hiking trails and a sand volleyball court, according to the listing with Kentucky Select Properties. “This property is the result of years of diligently...

Kanye West may have fame and fortune galore, but that doesn't mean the superstar can do whatever he wants. Case in point: His grand plans to build an amphitheater on his recently purchased ranch in Wyoming have ground to a halt because he hadn't procured the proper permits. According to the Missoulian, West had purchased the 4,500-acre Monster Lake Ranch in September, and had submitted an application to build a 70,684-square-foot amphitheater on the property. But rather than wait for the approval to come through, he broke ground anyway. County officials visited the site, saw that work was already in progress, and said it had to stop, pronto. West will now need to submit a new...

Trevor Milton, chief executive of Nikola Motor, a rival of electric car concern Tesla that makes hydrogen-electric trucks, has paid $32.5 million for a ranch in Utah. The deal sets a new price record for the state, according to the listing agent. "I feel like my generation is asset light, wants smaller everything and is moving to cities, which is the opposite of what I wanted in life," said Mr. Milton, 37, in an email. "I enjoy the country, space, privacy and wildlife rather than skylights.... I wanted to create a sanctuary where I could live off the land." Mr. Milton added that he plans to raise organic beef, vertically farm organic produce and provide a habitat for wildlife. "I...

A sprawling 320-acre estate with an idyllic backdrop in western Connecticut, including a house built in 1820, was listed Friday for $16 million. According to Variety, the 65-year-old talk-show queen purchased a home in Santa Barbara, Calif. earlier this month. Fans will likely recognize the seller, too. Per the publication, the compound previously belonged to Jeff Bridges. It looks like Winfrey paid a pretty penny for the place, too. Multiple listings show the abode sold for $6.85 million. The "Spanish revival estate" was built in 1919 and features tons of charm. From the vaulted beam ceilings and fireplaces to the hardwood floors and French doors, this picturesque pad has it all. Still, the three-bedroom home has plenty of modern touches. For instance, the high-end kitchen has chef-quality appliances and quartz...

The Rock has rolled to the Georgia countryside. An entity tied to actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has snapped up a historic 46-acre estate outside of Atlanta. A Georgia-based company linked to Mr. Johnson’s business managers in Los Angeles purchased the equestrian home in the bucolic small town of Powder Springs for roughly $9.5 million, according to public property records. Mr. Johnson, 47, a former professional wrestler who has since built a career as an actor and producer, could not be reached for comment. At the center of the sprawling, multi-parcel property is a 14,000-square-foot megamansion with eight bedrooms—plenty of space for Mr. Johnson’s family...

During Allen’s ownership, he embarked on infrastructure improvements to the site, including the addition of a one-mile private street, utilities, and two separate gated entrances. The Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, which could not be immediately reached for comment, continues to own and operate Allen’s catalog of professional sports teams, including the Seattle Seahawks. The parcel is among the assets that Allen’s estate has listed for sale, including his megayacht, Octopus, that hit the market in September for more than $300 million, Mansion Global previously reported. At 414 feet, Octopus can accommodate up to 26 guests across 13 cabins in addition to a crew of...

A lush Texas farm with ties to some of the state’s most notorious gangsters has hit the market asking nearly $12 million. Fincastle by Athens, about a 90-minute drive from Dallas, encompasses a swath of hilly forest, three spring-fed lakes and a main house that once served as the hideaway and clubhouse of Ivy Miller, a close associate of Las Vegas gambling icon and convicted murderer Benny Binion. “It was built for the secret gambling society of Dallas, where they would do what guys on the underground do—where they had their rendezvous,” said Bernard Uechtritz, listing agent and founder of Icon Global, an affiliate of Sotheby’s International Realty. The...
