Pictured above is the limousine in which President John F Kennedy was fatally shot during a presidential visit to Dallas, Texas. Unusually, the car was kept in service for several years after President Kennedy’s death, but even more unusually, once it was retired to the Henry Ford Museum in Michigan, visitors reported all kinds of spooky happenings. Many report the feeling of a supernatural presence around the car, and there have been many rumours about a man in grey standing around the vehicle. Ernest Hemingway and pre-Castro Cuba go hand-in-hand: Just ask anyone who ever had to read “Old Man and the Sea.” It's fitting that the author left his last automobile, a 1955 Chrysler New Yorker convertible, on the island before his suicide in 1961. Auto restoration is pretty low on the list of day-to-day priorities in post-revolution Cuba. Long presumed lost, the Chrysler, much-decayed, was found in 2011. The car is now the subject of “Cuban Soul,” an upcoming documentary film about the New Yorker's history and ongoing restoration. Cuba isn't exactly wealthy these days -- and the most ready source of vintage spares, the United States, has been...
