Foreign stock shares can now be bought at the companies which listed in Yangon Stock Exchange on March 20. Both Foreigners in Myanmar and abroad are allowed to buy and sell shares, but the opening of joint account is not allowed.
The approval will come into effect as of March 20.
Foreigners will be able to start trading shares, but it is necessary to specify how much of the shares will be paid by the six former listed companies.
Listed companies are required to submit a proposal to the Commission to control foreign investment.
The Yangon Stock Exchange will also be working to ensure that foreign exchange registrations are not and wrong and misplaced, said U Thet Tun Oo, senior executive manager of the Yangon Stock Exchange.
