The Myanmar Investment Commission has approved six investments, according to the meeting (4/2020) held at the meeting room of Yangon Investment Commission in Yangon on March 6.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of Myanmar Investment Commission U Thaung Tun, Deputy Chairman Dr.
Than Myint and nine members. Myanmar Investment Commission has approved six investments in the sectors of manufacturing, livestock, agriculture and others, including raising the capital from 9 activities,with the investment amount of US $ 131,125 million and Kyat 113,810.335 million which will create 2,850 job opportunities for local workers.
Over 50 countries have mostly invested in a total of 12 sectors, accounting for 26.70% of the total investment in the oil and gas sector, 26.45% in the electricity sector and 14.03% in the manufacturing sector. Singapore, China and Thailand are the largest investors in Myanmar until the end of January this year.
