A TINY home village will be constructed this year that will allow residents to live rent-free as long as they meet the key requirement.
The new residential area is coming to Binghamton, New York, thanks to Broome County Executive Jason Garnar who is working to support veterans.

Alongside the residential area, there will also be a Veteran's Resource Center.
Tiny homes provide affordable living spaces and are being utilized by local governments to address social and housing issues such as problems facing veterans and the homeless.
Construction on the new veteran site is scheduled to be complete by 2025, Garnar added.
Work began on Monday with perimeter fencing being erected around the site.
The Veteran Resource Center hopes to be operational by Veterans Day on November 11, 2024.
The homes will be constructed on a disused 1.6-acre site.
The land was previously set to be used by the Salvation Army to build a community center but the County has since purchased the land for $180,000.
At the Binghamton site, there will be two different styles of homes which will be of two different sizes.
The smaller homes will be 831 square feet and the larger will be 965 square feet.
Meanwhile, the Veterans Resource Center will be a two-level building of 13,000 square feet.
The center will offer educational classes and other development classes as well as office spaces for veteran support groups.
There will also be a community garden for the veterans to use as a place for contemplation and bonding.
