To the manor born and an extremely illustrious one at that, Janhvi Kapoor is easily one of Bollywood’s brightest new talents.

There’s the fact that she’s yesteryear superstar Sridevi’s daughter, yes, but with a couple of credible performances and those zillion gym looks, she has managed to win herself legions of fans, entirely on her own. It helps that in these volatile times, she’s stayed away from most conversations, maintaining a squeaky clean reputation on social media.

But this isn’t about Janhvi Kapoor’s career or controversies, is it? We’re here to talk about her palatial home in Mumbai’s Lokhandwala neighbourhood, the one she shares with her father, Boney Kapoor, and younger sister, Khushi Kapoor.

Located in a complex called Green Acres, the apartment is all things ornate and lush, complete with various statement decor pieces including chandeliers and mirrors of all shapes and sizes. There’s even a piano in the living area and some fabulous artwork adorning the walls, a lot of which had been made by Janhvi’s late mother, Sridevi, who loved to paint.

There are also a lot of Buddha sculptures in the home. It’s either a reflection of the family’s spiritual side or simply a way to enhance their interiors!

The home is spacious, especially by Mumbai standards, and houses a separate room for Janhvi’s vanity and walk-in closet, aside from the various rooms and lounging areas.

The colours have been mostly kept to cream, ivory, tan and white which works well to let the interiors and the artwork do most of the aesthetic talking.

There’s also a lot of gold in the home, from mirror frames to vases though it never comes across as too much.

But that’s not to say that the family prefers only muted shades. The periwinkle blue couch in the lounging area is an interesting way to add colour, especially with wooden flooring and sober-shaded walls around. As are the eclectic hot pink curtains in Janhvi’s bedroom, a clear reflection of the young star’s love for bright shades.
