Alone Township is situated in the western part of Yangon. The township comprises eleven wards, and is bordered by Sanchaung township and Kyimyindaing township to the north, the Yangon river to the west, Dagon township to the east, and Lanmadaw township to the south.Kayin Chan Ward  where most of residents are Kayan, and  many churches are also lying.Kwin Kyaung Monastery locating on Kwin Kyaung Road is  religious place for Buddhists.Moreover,a mosque and two Hindu Temples are also existing. Asia World port which is important in transportation by water has operated  in Ahlone.Thakin Mya Park is the major park in the township. Ahlone Township was once home to Thiri Mingala Market, Yangon's largest wholesale and retail market.Currently, the market has been moved to Hlaing Township.There are apartments,housings,detached homes, and vacant land  in there.
