A trip she'll never forget: Miley Cyrus recalls terrifying experience when she stayed at a 'haunted apartment' opposite Harrods

One of the greatest things about London is the chance to encounter history at every corner, but sadly for Miley Cyrus, she encountered too much history in her bathroom.

The 20-year old singer has revealed that she stayed in a haunted apartment when she was last visiting the city.

Speaking to Elle magazine, she bravely recalled some of the eerie goings-on when she and her family set up camp opposite Harrods.

'It was seriously so terrifying,' she recalls, adding that the apartment stood within an ex-bakery turned residential building.

'I was having really crazy dreams and really scary things, and one night my little sister – it sounds crazy to tell you – but she was standing in the shower and all of a sudden I hear her scream. 'I run in there and the water had somehow flipped to hot but it was still… It wasn’t like the water had just changed, the knob had turned but she hadn’t turned it and it was burning her. She was really red.'

The frightening scalding incident made Miley remember something which made her blood run cold. 'Before I felt this, I thought I had seen a little boy sitting on the sink watching me take a shower so I felt really freaked out,' she said.

'I was sitting there the next night and maybe I’m crazy, but I could have sworn I could see this little boy sitting there on the sink, kicking his feet.'

Miley told her mother, who was quick to silence her incase she upset her younger sister, Noah. But the Hanna Montana star found an ally in her aunt, who left the apartment only to return and find all of the windows and doors open.

'Three or four more things happened after that,' said Miley. 'I will never stay there ever again. Liam [Hemsworth] had an experience, my mom had an experience, we all had these crazy experiences and it was terrifying,' she said.

The family then checked in to the Soho Hotel where they were safe from things going bump in the night.

Miley's ghostly story isn't as upsetting as Ke$ha's, who claimed she had sex with a ghost.

She told chat show host Conan O'Brien in December last year that she had been groped by a spirit visitor. She said: 'I did go to the bone zone with a ghost. 'Do you want details? I don’t know his name but he was in my house. He started caressing me. 'It was a sexy time, it wasn’t like sex.'
